NATURE EXPERIENCE: WORKSHOPS WITH HERBS AND FLOWERS

A botanical garden with more than 480 species of medicinal plants used in cooking, medicine and cosmetics since the early Middle Ages when they were processed in the workshops of convents. An oasis of peace designed to teach, preserve and cultivate medicinal-officinal and aromatic plants. Between the perfumes and colors you can experiment with recipes based on plants and flowers, make perfumes and unleash your creativity during the workshops!

1. LABORATORY: INFUSIONS, DYES AND OLEOLITES | Duration: 2h
   An experiential visit that allows us to discover the thousand nuances of the Garden. The guide accompanies us through the different steps to learn about characteristics and curiosities of aromatic plants, wild herbs, flowers and medicinal herbs. Then we move into the olfactory gallery, a gallery of perfumes that allows us to intoxicate our nostrils and develop one of the 5 senses, smell. To learn how to make infusions, teas, tinctures and oleolites, we visit the educational sections, perfect for deepening the different aspects of plants.
   
   THE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

2. LABORATORY: THE DISTILLATION | Duration: 2h

The guide will take us to discover the Garden and, after stimulating the view, walking among plants and flowers, we continue the experience inside the olfattoteca, where a mix of scents takes us on a journey of pure pleasure! Before going to distillation, the guide enriches the visit with features and curiosity about the different species present in the Garden. Finally, practical demonstration of distillation, a difficult and delicate operation aimed at capturing the finest and most fragile quintessences produced by plants without compromising their quality, and use of essential oils.

3. LABORATORY: HERBS IN THE KITCHEN | Duration: 3h

Herbs are increasingly present on our tables and enrich our dishes with taste. We start the visit with a walk through the steps of the garden where together with the guide we go to discover the different types of plants and flowers. The journey continues through the olfattoteca and the didactic sections to finally end with a cooking workshop and tasting of herbs and flowers!
