Bike Tour Valconca

1st day:
Arrival in the early afternoon at the Misano World Circuit. Our bike tour will start from here to allow you to discover the “Wine Cities” of Valconca. Following the cycle path that leads from the sea to the hills, crossing the Naturalistic Oasis of Conca, we will reach San Clemente, a small village of the Signoria dei Malatesta which rises on the first hills overlooking the sea, among wheat fields and vineyards renowned for their quality. Stop at the winery for a guided tour and and wine tasting. The tour proceeds to discover S. Giovanni in Marignano, city of wine, witches and granary of Seignory of Malatesta! Short tour to discover the historical secrets and esoteric legends of the small and haracteristic village!

2nd day:
Meeting at the Misano World Circuit with the guide, from here will start our bike tour that will leads us to discover picturesque villages and curious traditions. The first stop will be Saludecio, a village characterized by a unique feature: the MURALES, paintings painted every summer on the occasion of the ‘800 Festival, on the walls of the houses of the ancient village and that, year after year, are now more than 50. We will then continue to Mondaino, fortified village, stronghold of the Signoria dei Malatesta on the borders with the lands of rivals Montefeltro, Dukes of Urbino. Visit of the small historic village up to the pits cheese factory, the production site of “Formaggio di Fossa”, and tasting. We will continue to Montegridolfo, just 2 km away, a completely renovated medieval village. We will walk through the streets of the village to admire the picturesque view of the coast that you can enjoy from its balconies. Possibility of lunch in a restaurant and typical trattoria along the route. In the afternoon drive to visit Gradara. Guided tour of the majestic Malatesta Fortress, enchanting scenery of the tragic love story of Paolo Malatesta and Francesca, a dive into the past among the beautiful rooms of the castle. Possibility of carrying out the ancient  “patrol” of the armigeri on the walls.

3rd day:
Meeting at the Misano World Circuit with the guide for the last bike tour to discover this magnificent valley. First stop Montefiore Conca, we will cross the Porta Curina to access the charming alleys of the old town until reaching the majestic Malatesta Fortress, recently renovated, the most powerful symbol of the power of the Malatesta Lordship. You will be blown away by the breathtaking views! We will then continue to the Nature Reserve of Onferno, characterized by tranquility and total immersion in nature, where is located the karstic complex of the Onferno Caves, known since the nineteenth century, is considered among the most important in Italy among the caves in plaster. We will continue towards Montescudo-Montecolombo. The Malatesta attributed to the place a fundamental function of their defense system and built a robust fortress, “shield” of the city of Rimini, which still today preserves its typical medieval plan. The surrounding countryside, cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, create a relaxing landscape that gently slides down into the valley. Stop for lunch along the way in a typical restaurant and trattoria with romagnolo menu based on traditional dishes.
