Bike Tour Valmarecchia

1st day:
Arrival in the early afternoon in Santarcangelo di Romagna, a village marked by the right pace of life, for its architectural beauty made up of noble palaces, village houses, alleys and small squares which have given it the title of City of Art, for the events of international flavor that animates it no less than the village festivals full of aromas and flavours. Here Sangiovese wine is born, there is a mangle from the 1600s, the only one in the world still functioning, the second oldest Romanesque parish church in Italy, the button museum and many other curiosities hidden in the districts of the medieval village. Our bike tour will start from here and continue to the beach of Rimini and enjoy an aperitif along the Parco del Mare, the major redevelopment project of Rimini’s seafront with greenery, cycle paths and spaces for sporting activities. At the end of the excursion, stop at a winery for a guided tour, typical dinner with regional menu and paired wines.

2nd day:
Meeting in Santarcangelo di Romagna with the guide, our bike tour will start from here, along the Marecchia cycle path, the beautiful dirt road that runs along the river of the same name, and will lead us to the discovery of San Leo. San Leo, an ancient village located on an enormous rocky mass which is impassable all around, behind the Republic of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera. Wonderful art capital, mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy, it is the fulcrum of the historical region of Montefeltro. It hosted figures such as Dante and Saint Francis of Assisi, who received the Monte della Verna as a gift here. Possibility of including lunch in a typical restaurant and trattoria along the route. In the afternoon possibility to visit San Marino, the oldest Republic in Europe, with guided tour of the historic center and tasting aperitif with panoramic view OR Extra Virgil Olive Oil tasting directly from the producer .

3rd day:
Meeting in Santarcangelo di Romagna with the guide, our bike tour will start from here, along the Marecchia cycle path, and will lead us to the Malatesta fortress of Verucchio, one of the largest and best preserved in Romagna. It is also called Rocca del Sasso, due to its position at the top of the rock spur that overlooks the town and dominates the entire surrounding area. The Mastin Vecchio was born here, considered one of the progenitors of the Malatesta family, remembered by Dante in the Divine Comedy. Stop for an aperitif based on typical products in the historic center before returning. In the afternoon possibility of a piadina and cassoni cooking class in a farmhouse with final tasting of the products made combined with typical local products OR a guided tour of the historic center of Rimini with Piadina Aperitif, tasting of different types of piadina with different fillings + toast in one of the historic piadina shops!
