1st day:
Arrival in Santarcangelo di Romagna in the morning and accommodation in the farmhouse.
Meeting with the guide and start of the anthropological-folkloristic walk, to discover the lively and cheerful Romagna spirit of Santarcangelo. We will cross fruit tree crops and run along the Uso river, and then climb the Giove hill, from which you can enjoy a view of the hinterland and the Adriatic coast. The guide will give a brief explanation of the origins and geological conformation of the area. We will reach the historic center and enter the alleys and stairways, touching the most significant places of the city, such as the Malatesta fortress, the civic tower, the arch of Pope Clement, the sferisterio, the murals of Eron, the fountains of Tonino Guerra, the hypogea and the workshop of the ancient mangle, dated 1633. The guide will tell you some legends linked to the history and the characters who inhabited this village. We can spend time for shopping in the little shops in the center. There will also be a break for a coffee or an aperitif before returning.

2nd day:
After breakfast, meeting with the guide and transfer by private bus to San Leo (about 30 minutes), from where we will leave for a circular excursion on the Monti Tausani. From the top of Monte San Severino we will be able to enjoy a 360° view that ranges from the hills to the Adriatic coast. Proceeding through oak woods that alternate with low vegetation and grassy surfaces, we will come across the “Renaissance views”, or panoramic points which, according to the study of two historical researchers, represent the background of a famous painting by Piero della Francesca . We will descend to the village of Tausano, walk along the “via main”, the only road connecting with Rimini until the mid-1800s, and we will reach the Convent of Sant’Igne, a place immersed in silence, with a story to tell. The convent is in fact located in the place that offered shelter to Saint Francis in 1213. Here we will stop for a packed lunch. After some rest, with a walk of about 45 minutes we will reach San Leo. In the afternoon it will be possible to visit the village of San Leo and the Fortress independently. Return to Santarcangelo.

3rd day:
After breakfast, meeting with the guide and transfer by bus to Montebello (about 20 minutes), from where we will leave for a circular excursion to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Saiano, and then return to the starting point along the Sentiero dei Gessaroli. A legend has it that the castle of Montebello is inhabited by the ghost of Azzurrina, the daughter of the feudal lord of the time, who mysteriously disappeared on 21 June 1375. During the excursion the guide will tell you this strange story and that of the plaster statue of the Madonna, which did not want to be moved from the small church of the Sanctuary. At the end of the walk it will be possible to have a packed lunch or stop for lunch in one of the two trattorias in the village.
In the afternoon (from 2.30pm) it will be possible to visit the castle of Azzurrina, independently, and return by bus.

4th day:

After breakfast, meeting with the guide in the village of Talamello, we will skirt Monte Pincio, covered with a century-old chestnut grove and rich and varied vegetation. We will climb to the top of Monte Aquilone, with a view that ranges from the Marche and Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines to the Adriatic Sea. We continue descending to Perticara, the final stop of this excursion, where we will visit a shop with a cheese maturing pit. Here it will be possible to taste typical products, including Fossa cheese, obtained with a method that has its origins in the second half of the 1400s.
In the afternoon it will be possible to visit the Sulfur Mining History Museum. Alternatively, the splendid village of Sant’Agata Feltria with tasting of truffle-based products in the shop.

6th day:
After breakfast, meeting with the guide, delivery of bicycles directly to the facility and departure for Rimini. We will move on to admire the Parish Church of San Michele Arcangelo, and then reach the cycle path along the Marecchia river and visit the surprising community of Mutonia, with its exhibition of works of art made with recycled materials. Once in Rimini, we will pass by the Tiberius Bridge, by Borgo San Giuliano, with its murals dedicated to Federico Fellini. We will arrive at the pier and the beach, where there will be time to stretch your legs, take a short walk and have a free lunch. Riding the bicycles we will take a tour of the historic center of the city, touching the most significant places, such as the arch of Augustus, the covered market, the Malatesta temple, the Surgeon’s domus, Piazza Cavour with the ancient fish market and Palazzo dell’ Arengo, finally Castel Sismondo, main residence of the Malatesta, lords of Rimini. Lunch in a historic piadina shop with a mix of piadine and cassoni with different fillings. After that we will return to Santarcangelo by the same route along the river.
In the afternoon, visit to the cellar and cooking class on how to make piadina and tagliatelle, followed by a dinner based on the prepared foods.
