The Offer Includes:
1 day Arrival at the airport late in the afternoon. Accommodation at a charming Resort in Bologna area, Welcome Dinner.
2 day Breakfast. Visit of Bologna: San Petronio Cathedral, the oldest university in Europe, Piazza Maggiore, the Two Towers, Neptune fountain and the old medieval Food Market. (I’ts possible to add the visit to the Teatro Anatomico, Anatomical Theatre, where anatomy lessons were once held, worth a visit!). Lunch in a typical trattoria in the centre. Free afternoon in Bologna.
3 day Breakfast. Visit of Modena, the first stop is at Pavarotti House Museum listening to the music of our famous opera singer. Then guided visit of the historical centre of Modena, with the UNESCO romanesque cathedral. Lunch in a farmhouse on the way to Maranello. In the afternoon visit to Ferrari Museum, following the dream of Enzo Ferrari! Before coming back to the hotel, stop at a traditional Acetaia, for a DOP Balsamic vinegar tasting.
4 day Breakfast. Early morning departure to reach Parma and see the daily production of DOP Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. After the visit and final tasting, transfer to the historical centre. Guided visit of Parma, its center boasts a delightful Romanesque Design, mixed to the richness of Renaissance and of the era of Farnese and Bourbon Family. Focus inside the Cathedral with Correggio and Parmigianino masterpieces. Lunch in the centre with Parma Ham and Parmigiano tasting combined with other typical recipes.
5 day Breakfast. Transfer to Ferrara, where the brilliant Este court attracted a constellation of artists, poets and philosophers during the Renaissance age. That’s why it is now part of the UNESCO’s heritage. The tour starts with the Renaissance Herculean addition, the inner courtyard of Palazzo dei Diamanti, Piazza Castello, the Cathedral, the old Medieval streets and the jewish Ghetto. Lunch in the centre with typical menu. Transfer to the coast and accommodation to Hotel 4* near Riccione, on the beach.
6 day Breakfast. In the morning visit of Ravenna, UNESCO’s heritage for the Byzantine Mosaics (visit of San Vitale, Galla Placidia and S. Apollinare Nuovo). Light lunch in the historical centre. In the afternoon visit of Cervia, where is produced the renowned Salt of the Popes. Return to the hotel and overnight.
7 day Breakfast. Today visit of the most ancient Republic in the world: San Marino, a foreign little state inside Italy! Guided visit of the historical centre with an original electric train. Stop in the centre for your shopping tax free. In the afternoon transfer to San Leo, a famous medieval village, renowned to have been the prison of Cagliostro Count and to have hosted also S. Francesco. Goodbye dinner at the hotel with seafood menu.
8 day Breakfast. On the way to the airport stop in Santarcangelo di Romagna, hometown of our Sangiovese wine and important medieval village of the Malatesta family. Visit of the old Fabric printing-workshop still working with a wooden Mangle (unique in Europe!) Light lunch and wine tasting at a renown cellar.
