First stop in Emilia Romagna: <strong>Rimini<\/strong>, where you can admire Piero&#8217;s fresco &#8220;Sigismondo Pandolfo in Prayer in front of Saint Sigismondo&#8221; (initiated in 1447) inside the Malatesta Temple, designed by Leon Battista Alberti.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2nd day:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Departure for &#8220;The Invisible Landscape&#8221; by Piero della Francesca on the hills of the medieval village of <strong>San Leo<\/strong>. You&#8217;ll have the opportunity to admire the background of Battista Sforza (&#8220;Double Portrait of the Dukes of Urbino&#8221; preserved at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence) and Saint Jerome and the donor Jerome Amadi (preserved at the Galleria dell&#8217;Accademia in Venice). It&#8217;s a true open-air museum! Lunch in a typical Osteria in the historic center of San Leo. After lunch transfer to <strong>Petrella Guidi<\/strong>, near Sant\u2019Agata Feltria, to visit Piero&#8217;s third balcony, from which you can observe almost the entire landscape depicted in &#8220;The Baptism of Christ,&#8221; preserved at the National Gallery in London.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd day: <\/strong><br \/>\nTransfer to <strong>Urbino<\/strong> for a guided visit. In the Gallery of the Ducal Palace, you will find two of Piero della Francesca&#8217;s most important works: &#8220;Flagellation of Christ&#8221; and &#8220;Madonna di Senigallia.&#8221; Two works of art offering a perfect blend of light, shapes, perspectives, and landscapes that you can appreciate while strolling through the city streets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4th day:<\/strong><br \/>\nMeeting with the guide in <strong>Urbania<\/strong>, where you can admire Piero&#8217;s third Balcony: &#8220;The Triumphs&#8221; (from the &#8220;Double Portrait of the Dukes of Urbino&#8221; preserved in Florence at the Uffizi Gallery) and receive a detailed explanation of the invisible landscape. Lunch at a farmhouse serving organic products, located near the balcony, with a tasting of traditional recipes and locally sourced products.<br \/>\nAfter lunch transfer to <strong>Sansepolcro<\/strong>, the birthplace of Piero della Francesca. Inside the town&#8217;s civic museum, you can admire the four masterpieces of the maestro: &#8220;The Resurrection,&#8221; &#8220;Polyptych of Mercy,&#8221; the frescoes &#8220;San Giuliano,&#8221; and &#8220;San Ludovico.&#8221; You&#8217;ll also visit the house of Piero della Francesca, the birthplace of the foundation of the same name: a center for studies, a library, and a section for temporary exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5th day: <\/strong><br \/>\nDeparture for <strong>Monterchi<\/strong>, a distant village where Piero della Francesca left one of the most famous artworks of the 15th century, &#8220;Madonna del Parto&#8221; (Museum of the Madonna del Parto). In the afternoon, a visit to Arezzo, a truly fascinating Renaissance and medieval city of great value. Guided tour of Piero&#8217;s works: the fresco &#8220;Stories of the True Cross&#8221; (Main Chapel of the Basilica of San Francesco) and &#8220;The Magdalene&#8221; (Cathedral). After lunch transfer to <strong>Perugia<\/strong> to visit the National Gallery of Umbria, where you can find an important witness to Piero&#8217;s works: the Polyptych of Sant&#8217;Antonio, a wonderful work of art consisting of 9 panels depicting the Virgin with the Child, the saints: Anthony of Padua, John the Baptist, Francis of Assisi, and Elizabeth of Hungary. The apex is occupied by the extraordinary Annunciation, set in a magnificent perspective frame.
