city along the Via Emilia. Here we are welcomed by <strong>Porta Schiavonia<\/strong>, the only surviving gateway of the medieval city walls. We continue towards the historic center to visit the <strong>Abbey of San Mercuriale<\/strong>, a perfect example of Lombard Romanesque architecture, and the <strong>San Domenico Museums<\/strong>, which host masterpieces of Italian art.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"1500\">Leaving Forl\u00ec behind, we ride through gentle hills to <strong>Meldola<\/strong>, where the imposing medieval fortress dominates the landscape. Time seems to have stood still here. Just a few kilometers away, surrounded by woodland, lies the<strong> former Monastery of Scardavilla<\/strong>, a place of silence and contemplation. We then climb towards the spectacular<strong> Rocca delle Caminate<\/strong>, once Mussolini\u2019s summer residence and now a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley. Finally, we reach <strong>Predappio<\/strong>, a town symbolic of 1930s Rationalist architecture, with <strong>Mussolini\u2019s birthplace<\/strong> and the <strong>Monumental Cemetery<\/strong> among its main points of interest.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1974\"><strong>Rocca San Casciano<\/strong> is a small village dominated by the Malatesta Fortress. The road, rich in curves and scenic views, leads to <strong>Portico di Romagna<\/strong>, a charming medieval village with ancient stone bridges and timeless alleyways. Just beyond, in the heart of the Casentinesi Forests National Park, we find <strong>San Benedetto in Alpe,<\/strong> an ancient monastic settlement immersed in the woods and the starting point for reaching the evocative Acquacheta waterfall, celebrated by Dante.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2131\"><strong data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2000\">Where to have lunch:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2003\" \/><strong>\u2022 Lago Lungo \u2013 Bagno di Romagna<\/strong><br data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2037\" \/><strong>\u2022 Il Vignale Ostello Ristorante \u2013 San Benedetto in Alpe<\/strong><br data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2095\" \/><strong>\u2022 Chio-sco \u2013 San Benedetto in Alpe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2706\">From here we tackle one of the roads most loved by motorcyclists: the<strong> SP23<\/strong>, with its hairpin bends leading to the legendary <strong>Passo delle Cento Forche.<\/strong> Descending towards the Tuscan side, we join the <strong>SS67<\/strong>, the famous <strong>Traversa di Romagna<\/strong>, to reach the iconic <strong>Passo del Muraglione<\/strong>: a symbol of Italian motorcycling, the stage of historic rallies and challenges. After a well-deserved break, we continue towards the <strong>Passo dei Tre Faggi<\/strong>, where ancient forests and flowing curves accompany us towards <strong>Corniolo<\/strong>, <strong>Fiumicello<\/strong> and <strong>Campigna<\/strong>. Founded in 1012, this sacred place radiates silence and beauty. We cross<strong> Le Balze<\/strong>, with their distinctive rocky formations, and continue towards <strong>Pratieghi<\/strong> and the<strong> Passo di Viamaggio<\/strong>, one of the most popular roads among motorcyclists thanks to its smooth curves and wide-open views over the Apennines. We then reach <strong>Badia Tedalda<\/strong>, a small village surrounded by greenery, and continue towards <strong>Pennabilli<\/strong>, the cultural heart of the Valmarecchia valley.
