Love Valmarecchia

1st day:
Arrival in the splendid setting of Valmarecchia. Guided tour of Santarcangelo di Romagna, exploring the picturesque historic center with a stroll through the narrow streets and staircases of the medieval village up to the Rocca. Stop at Stamperia Marchi, a historic artisan workshop that still produces ancient local rust prints on canvas using the 17th-century mangano. Visit the monumental public cave: Santarcangelo hides a mysterious underground history, another city beneath the one visible at ground level, consisting of around 160 caves. Cooking class in an agriturismo with the Azdora (Romagnola cook) who will teach you how to prepare the authentic Romagnola piadina! At the end of the cooking class, enjoy a tasting of the piadina you prepared, paired with local cold cuts and cheeses, all accompanied by a tasting of typical local wines.

2nd day:
Transfer to Sant’Agata Feltria for a unique experience: Truffle Hunt in the woods! Under the guidance of an expert and his trusty dog, enjoy a walk in the forest learning tricks and curiosities about the famous truffle! Followed by a transfer to the center for a tasting of truffle-based products in a historic shop.
In the afternoon, visit the oldest republic in Europe: San Marino! Guided tour of the historic center and an aperitif tasting with a panoramic view.

3rd day:
Transfer to Verucchio for a guided tour in the company of Malatesta da Verucchio, exploring the Rocca, its history, and that of its owners. The founder of the Malatesta, a skilled politician and cunning diplomat, will reveal the secrets of his lineage, from the story related to Paolo and Francesca to the false letter that will mark the end of Malatesta’s rule over Verucchio. Transfer for a visit to a craft brewery for an overview of the raw materials used and the entire production process with a tour of the facilities. Tasting of 3 types of beer paired with crostini.
Free afternoon, an opportunity to visit the beautiful historic center of Rimini before departure.
