1st day: Bologna – Gelato and Tortellini
Start the tour at Gelato University in Bologna for a masterclass dedicated to artisanal gelato and sorbets. A comprehensive course where you’ll be gelato makers for a day in an exciting practical experience in a large laboratory. Transfer to Bologna, guided tour of the historic center, and the Quadrilatero del Gusto. Lunch with regional products. In the afternoon, a special cooking class: focus on “Tortellini,” the most traditional stuffed pasta! Cooking class with the “sfoglina” who will share with you all the secrets that the dough holds. In a few hours, you’ll learn to prepare the dough, following the traditional recipe, and be directly involved in rolling out the dough, using the wooden rolling pin, creating tortellini and other fresh pasta shapes. Dinner with the dishes you’ve prepared.
2nd day: Casa Artusi – Professional Cooking Class
Professional course at Casa Artusi, the first center of gastronomic culture dedicated to Italian home cooking! A beautiful experience in a fully equipped kitchen with professional assistants. The focus will be on cooking with DOP products, and the chef will teach you how to pair and serve the best products.
In the afternoon, a guided visit to a producer of DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil for a special olive oil tasting course, or a guided visit to a beautiful winery to taste some of the finest wines of Romagna.
3rd day: Romagna Piadina – Cooking Class
If you say “piadina,” you say Romagna! A cooking class on a farm with the Azdora (Romagnola cook) who will teach you how to prepare the true Romagna piadina and its tasty variant, the “cassone” (or “cascione”)! Piadina and cassoni can be filled in many different ways, and the Azdora will teach you the best combinations to prepare delicious appetizers and dinners for your friends and family.
At the end of the cooking class, a tasting lunch with piadina and cassoni prepared by you, paired with local cold cuts and cheeses, all accompanied by typical local wines and traditional music: the “liscio.” In the afternoon, transfer to a small village for a guided visit to a Formaggio di Fossa producer, an unmissable local specialty.
4th day: Truffle Experience and San Marino
Transfer to Sant’Agata Feltria for a unique experience: Truffle Hunting in the woods! Under the guidance of an expert and his trusted dog, enjoy a walk in the woods learning tricks and curiosities about the famous tuber! Afterward, transfer to a farmhouse or home restaurant to participate in a tasty truffle cooking class in which the chef will teach you how to prepare traditional recipes paired with truffles, followed by a delicious lunch! In the afternoon, the possibility of a guided visit to the oldest republic in Europe: San Marino!
